in Koeln, Germany

This is your chance to join one of the most famous urban unicycling events.

At Winter euc you have the possibility to enter and enjoy three main events


Flatland

1 vs 1 battles of the best tricks done on flat ground


Street

Showdown of tricks in the skatepark


Trial

Lines of precise jumps over an obstacle course

Rulesets

Winter euc competitions will be held in the following categories:

Open for male, trans and non-binary riders (and as a choice for female riders)
Female for riders assigned female at birth

each category will have the following sub categories:

Junior consisting of the age groups
'Kids' (0-9 years)
'Junior' (10-14 years)

Adult consisting of the age groups
'Adult' (15-34 years)
'Senior' (35-49 years)
'Master' (50+ years)

Flatland will be held according to similar rules to those we tested at Winter EUC 2025, meaning with shorter prelim runs and no Last Trick, but significantly more battles. However, we want to use the experiences from Winter EUC to further optimize the rules.

Overview of competition flow

Prelims Runs
All riders have a 45-second prelim run to see where they start in the competition.

Prelim Run Scoring
Difficulty: 30%, Variety: 30%, Fullness: 20%, Style: 20%

Battles
The best riders advance directly to the Final Bracket
All other advancing riders move on to the Lower Bracket
The lowest placing riders do not participate in the rest of the competition

Lower Brackets
The Lower Bracket is a knock-out system of 90-second 1-vs-1 battles (without Last Tricks)
The best two riders of the Lower Bracket advance to the Final Bracket. A Best-Trick-Showdown will determine their position in the Final Bracket.

Difficulty: 24%, Variety: 24%, Fullness: 17%, Style: 17%m Battling: 18%

Final Bracket
The Final Bracket also consists of a knock-out system of 120-second 1-vs-1 battles with 3 attempts for a Last Trick.

Final Bracket Scoring
Difficulty: 21%, Variety. 21%, Fullness: 14%, Style: 14%, Battling: 16%, Last Trick: 14%

Scoring Categories
Difficulty: average difficulty of tricks landed
Variety: average variety of tricks landed
Fullness: amount of time used to successfully land tricks (including appropriate run-up times)
Style: cleanliness and style of tricks landed
Battling: ability to react to the opponent's riding and to give the opponent something to react to, while maintaining a higher level of riding than them.

Street follows the same ruleset as last year.

Prelims
One 60 second run in the competition area of the skatepark

Prelim Scoring
Difficulty: 35%, Variety: 25%, Consistency: 20%, Flow: 20%

Finals
Two 60 second runs of which the better one is counted. Five Best Trick attempts of which the best two attempts are counted.

Best Tricks
Difficulty: 80%, Style: 20%

Final Score
Run: 70 points, Best Tricks: 30 points (reduced by up to 25% for low variety in Best Tricks)

The exact number of riders advancing to finals is dependent on the amount of participants and will be announced before the competition starts.

Trial follows the standard IUF ruleset

Prelims
Each rider takes part in one of two 90 minute waves. Lines are provided in easy, medium and hard difficulties.

Prelim Scoring
Easy line: 1 point, medium line: 3 points, hard line: 7 points.
If a rider finishes all lines of the medium category they are awarded the points for all easy difficulty lines as well.

Finals
Finalists ride together in one 90 minute wave.

Final Scoring
Each line awards a maximum of 3 points reduced by 0.5 points for each pedal grab done during the line. (minimum points for completion: 1 point)

Categories
No Kids or Junior Final.
Best Adult, Senior and Master riders have a combined Expert Final.
Exact number of riders advancing to finals is dependent on the amount of participants and will be announced before the competition starts.
Separate Finals for Open and Female categories.

Abenteuerhallen Kalk, the perfect place to host euc

The venue is an old factory that was repurposed into a varied sports hall. It welcomes all kinds of activities and especially the ones with social integration, cultural exchange and respect.

We have decided to not hold a video contest this time, to give you all more time to make the best videos possible for UNICON 22 in Austria in Summer.
