A weekend full of Riding, competing, partying, chilling, sleeping
all in one place, the great Abenteuerhallen Kalk at the
March 21 - 23
in Köln, Germany
We are currently fully booked, but you can sign in to our waiting list, and we will let you know when a spot opens up for you.
This is your chance to join one of the most famous urban unicycling events.
So get your registration in now. We only have 130 spots.
At Winter euc you have the possibility to enter and enjoy three main events
1 vs 1 battles of the best tricks done on flat ground
Showdown of tricks in the skatepark
Lines of precise jumps over an obstacle course
Winter euc competitions will be held in the following categories:
each category will have the following sub categories:
'Kids' (0-9 years)
'Junior' (10-14 years)
'Adult' (15-34 years)
'Senior' (35-49 years)
'Master' (50+ years)
We aim to have more focus on battles, giving more riders the chance to participate in battles and increasing the interaction between riders in battles leading to more interesting battles instead of both riders just showing off their prelim run again in pieces.
To achieve this, we will start a first experiment by lowering the time needed for Prelims, decreasing the time per run and removing Last Tricks. We have also iterated on the judging criteria to more fairly represent the time it took to reach a riding level with the final score.
For battles, we are introducing a Battling score, reflecting a rider's ability to outperform the opponent. This can be done in different ways, for example by one-upping tricks the other rider does, setting tricks that their opponent should be able to do but can't, or reacting with trick variations that let the opponent's trick appear less difficult.
We hope that these changes will have the desired effect and will review after Winter EUC to see if further attempts or adjustments can be made.
One 30 second run, no last tricks.
Scoring: Riders are judged on Difficulty (30%), Variety (30%), Style (20%) and Fullness of their run (20%)
1v1 battles of two riders doing alternating lines and tricks.
The top riders of the Prelims will be advancing to the Final Bracket directly. The rest will have to earn their place by reaching the top two spots in the newly introduced Qualification Brackets.
These will have 60 second battles (30s/rider) without last tricks. The final two riders of each bracket face each other in a Showdown, doing three Best Trick attempts to settle who places first and second, before advancing to the next higher bracket. In the Final Bracket, battles are 120 seconds long (60s/rider) with three attempts of a higher scored Last Trick. The battles for podiums (battle for 3rd and final) can be extended up to 4min (120s/rider) by decision of both riders.
The goal in battles is to show the other rider that you can do everything they can, but better; or that you can do tricks, that they are not able to land. This is done by reacting to the opponent's riding by doing a similar or more difficult trick of the same style, and setting tricks that the opponent cannot react to.
Scoring: Riders are judged on Difficulty (21%), Variety (21%), Style (14%), Fullness of their battle (14%), Last Trick (14%)
and additionally Battling, their ability to outperform the opponent (16%).
The exact number of riders advancing to battles is dependent on the amount of participants and will be announced before the competition starts.
Street follows the same ruleset as in the Unicon 21 competition.
